Year 2 have had a great week learning about the explorer Sir Francis Drake who discovered new places and brought back the treasure he acquired. Children have worked hard in literacy to learn our portal story – Mr Ben and the red Knight. By thinking like a writer, they have all drawn a picture reflecting on the features used in this great setting description. They are all looking forward to next week when they will meet the explorer Sarah Outen over Zoom!
