Your Year 1 child has plenty to talk about because they met some amazing birds of prey this week. The largest bird to visit was a European Owl – who was about 60cm tall and the smallest bird to visit was a pygmy owl, who had amazing feathers that made it look like it had eyes on the back of its head! We know all this knowledge will lead to amazing writing next week. During art lessons children have been inspired by artist, Andy Goldsworthy, to use natural materials from our woodlands to create spiral, zig zag and circle art.
