Year 6 have been continuing to enjoy building their lighthouses. They built the frame using cardboard and then covered the structures in mod roc; pupils are really looking forward to decorating them in the coming weeks. They have been learning about Captain James Cook, considering the viewpoint of the native inhabitants of what is now known as Australia, writing diary extracts about the day Cook arrived on his boat Endeavour.
Next week Year 6 will be completing their tales of fear, finishing their final Whitby art pieces and debating Captain Cook’s ‘discoveries’.
