Tuesday saw all Year 1 children visit our beautiful woodland again to identify different types of trees and consider if they were deciduous or ever green trees. Their mission was to help the Gruffalo to find the correct type of tree to sleep under so he could see the stars in winter. It was a fantastic experience and lots was learnt, which has been revisited in class. The children’s learning is also being shown in their non-fiction writing about Barn Owls.
