This week pupils demonstrated problem solving skills in Maths by solving double-digit word problems using partitioning and bar models. In English, they generated vocabulary to describe flames and fire to support their understanding of our fire monster story. They also learned more about the spread of the Great Fire of London and showed their map understanding by colouring the spread of the damage that happened during the three days of the fire. We are looking forward to our Woodland burning session next week which will give us a better insight into the reasons why the fire was so uncontrollable during the Great Fire of London.
