Children in Year 1 have had a busy week including colour mixing to paint a hot country sunset, learning about mammals, finding missing number in maths equations and learning about Kindness through a special workshop. In Literacy children have loved inventing their own version of Handa’s Surprise but this time set in a cold country with arctic animals. They continue to focus on their sentence making sense, finger spaces between words, capital letters at the start of a sentence and a full stop at the end of the sentence (when that idea has ended).
