This week children in Reception have been focusing on further developing their gross motor skills outdoors. They have been using large building materials such as crates, wooden poles, tarpaulin, and other resources to build dens, caves, tractors, and boats! Children have worked collaboratively to build different structures, whilst negotiating space safely. Children have also been encouraged to use their writing and mark making skills outdoors. They have been drawing a range of sea creatures using large chalk. Take a walk this weekend and ask your child about what seasonal changes they can see. What has happened to the trees?
