Minarets, domes and arched windows…where did Year 2 visit?

The children in Year 2 were immersed in their learning straight away after coming back from the break. They were reminded how important it is to read daily to improve fluency. In Maths, we are learning to find a fraction of a number and so far, we know how to find a half and a third of the whole. Above all, the children were very excited to go on a trip to a local mosque. They looked out for the features and spotted minarets, domes and arched windows. Next week we are looking forward to the World Book Week during which we will be dressing up as book characters and will be using our oracy skills to talk about what it is that we enjoy in those stories.
