Year 2 have been enjoying their last week before the holidays. We have been reminding ourselves of the importance of knowing the number facts really well and recalling them fast. The children were reminded that their Numbots accounts allow them to log in and play fun games to keep up with their essential Maths exercises. The children got an amazing opportunity to learn to recognize 3D shapes from looking at shape nets and making one of them into an Easter Bunny basket. Finally, the children were absolutely blown away by the facts learnt about different cultures and their own identity. We researched Japan and it allowed them to reflect on their own culture and environment, so they could celebrate the differences.
