This week Reception have been practising acting out familiar experiences in the classroom home corners. Children have been using their imagination and experiences of familiar events to recreate storylines. They have shown a great interest in familiar resources that they have seen before or may even have at home. These familiar resources have ignited their imagination and curiosity, as well as inspiring their play. Children have been pretend playing together by setting up tea parties, cooking, washing up, dressing up and so much more. They have developed teamwork, sharing and collaboration skills. The imaginative play has led them to also develop their language and communication skills continually as they converse with one another through pretend play sequences.
