This week in Reception children have been very busy, they loved performing for families on Monday during our Reception Sparkle event. Children performed winter and Christmas songs and then spent the afternoon engaging in different activities. Some of these included using fine motor skills to fill bags of food for birds and reindeers, tracing and cutting out circles to make bauble decorations as well as decorating gingerbread biscuits and making Christmas cards. What a fantastic turnout we had, thank you to all families who attended! We also recently visited St Martins Church where we learned about who celebrates Christmas and why people visit the church to help children’s understanding of the world and the different people in our community. We hope you all enjoy some well-deserved rest after a busy first term in Reception. We are looking forward to welcoming everyone back on Monday 6th January.
