We’re great writers!

In Year 2, it was all about monsters this week. We planned our English stories using complex grammar, such as comma lists and sentences with the conjunction ‘but’. The children used noun phrases and interesting synonyms to make their writing more exciting. They started writing their independent piece and focused on rereading their work to spot mistakes. In Maths, they used their knowledge of arrays to describe what they could see. They were expected to use their Maths Talk to explain how many equal parts, the value of the parts and the total of the whole. In PE, the children started a Dance module where they were learning to match the beat of the music and express it with their bodies. Next week, we look forward to meeting an inspirational guest, Steve Cunnigham, as part of our Aspiration work.
