Our debate in Children’s Mental Health Week

After watching the Place2Be assembly for Children’s Mental Health Week, every class from Year 1 to Year 6 debated what they believe to be the most important reason that all people should be respected and valued regardless of any differences we have. The options were –

  1. To make sure each person feels safe, included and happy
  2. To be a great community so together we can make a positive difference
  3. To be curious about the world we live in and the people who live in it
  4. To grow our own character (become a great person)
  5. All of these options

Talk to your child about what their view was and why. We were very impressed with their understanding of making a positive difference to the world.
