In Year 2 we have had the best week building up to the World Book Day! The children participated in a reading-related activity every day. They were using oracy skills to describe their favourite characters to play in a Character Battle against Beckfoot Allerton. They were paired with a Year 5 class and shared their favourite stories. We also were treated to a funny, engaging show for the whole school, reminding us that bullying is never okay. Among the exciting reading activities, Year 2 pupils were also developing their Maths oracy explaining fractions to their partners. Next week, we are looking forward to practicing sketching mosque features so that we can use them in Art to draw a mosque.
